Improving on Existing Technology
In contrast to the many wetted parts of CMOS and MEMS flow sensors, Sierra uses its most advanced 316L stainless steel platinum-wound capillary sensor technology ensuring the very best mass flow control for nearly any clean gas. The sensor’s small diameter minimizes environmental effects.
The 50 Series has a flexible and powerful direct-acting control valve sets it apart from the competition by minimizing leak-by, while offering a 300 msec response time to setpoint changes at +/- 0.25% repeatability.
Another difference between the 50 Series and other flow controllers is its modular design that allows for upgrades and changes in communication. If you need to change the communication or add features such as a display, just add a new piggyback PCA.
