Video: How to Configure Your Set Point on Your MFC

May 16, 2013

I hope you’ve enjoyed our Mass Flow Controller video series! Here at Sierra Instruments, we pride ourselves on great customer service, and this series is just another example of how we’re here for you every step of the way. From initial set-up to power options to our last video on “How to Configure Your Set Point,” the goal of Technical Support Supervisor Jim Oswald has been to help you start to measure flow with your MFC as quickly—and accurately—as possible.

In this last installment, Jim describes some different methods for adjusting your set point, easily done by accessing the Zero Adjust and Set Point Adjust holes on the front of the controller with a screwdriver. But Jim delves a little deeper for those who want more control over their settings, pointing out that it requires some adjustments for internal versus external sourcing.

Jim makes a good point that a common concern received in our Technical Support Center is that an MFC isn’t working after trying to change the set point. So, make sure that you’ve set the DIP switch for an external source signal to ensure proper functioning of your Mass Flow Controller! If you ever have a question about any of our products, our Live Help is available online anytime.
