Putting People First – Sierra University

Aug 03, 2015

School’s out for the summer! Congratulations to the forty (40) Sierra employees that have completed their first course at Sierra University.  As you might have read in our previous blog post on Sierra University, the training program is about taking teamwork and personal development to the next level – putting people first.

“We believe that giving our employees education is a really powerful way to put them first. I really believe that once you put employee’s first, and people first, they really start to believe in themselves. At Sierra University we give you education, which is something that can never be taken away.” -Erica Giannini, Web & Marketing Manager, Sierra University Co-Director.

Watch the video below to see how Sierra University offers education to empower all Sierra employees to do great things, and to break the status quo in everything they do. Sierra University taught our employees about motivation and teamwork. The video also illustrates how the employees have benefited from Sierra University, what they have learned from the course, and how the program has motivated them to accomplish great things. Through education, employees can reach their full potential in their careers and personal life.

What did students say?

“…Sierra University has opened up lines of communication with coworkers that I haven’t spoken to in my seven years with Sierra…” -Melissa Andersen, Customer Service

“At Sierra University I saw a lot of motivation and innovation and I believe that this was a great success for Sierra” -Kyle Celso, Service Department

“I really cherish everything that Sierra brings, and I think, for me, it’s been a great ride and I’m not done yet. ” – Jaime Cardona, Stockroom
