International Orders & Shipping
  • Exchange Rates

    For your convenience, we show your transaction cost in your country’s currency. Foreign exchange rates are calculated two times per week; therefore, these are approximate exchange rates.  Your total payment price is guaranteed at the U.S. dollar rate displayed in the final total in your Sierra cart. All final are made in U.S. dollars, not your local currency.

  • How to Place International Orders

    International online orders are completed in the same way as domestic orders. Choose your mass flow meter and/or controller, place your items in the cart. Once you have created an account and chosen your shipping method, your international shipping price will be calculated.

    In your Sierra online cart, your total payment will be calculated which includes the cost of your items and your total international shipping cost (final payment does not include local taxes, duties and customs charges.) These local taxes, duties, and customs will be paid by the customer at the point of delivery. All Sierra online prices will automatically be converted into your local currency for your convenience, but final payment is in U. S. dollars.

  • Payment Methods

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover credit cards as well as payments through your PayPal account. For your convenience, your transaction is shown in your country’s currency. However, we guarantee all final prices in U.S. dollars. All transactions will be completed in U.S. dollars. Your credit card or Pay Pal account will be charged at the point of purchase in U.S. dollars.

  • Shipping Options & Charges

    We provide FedEx international shipping options-economy and priority. International Shipping costs are calculated based on a number of factors, including the chosen service level (Economy or Priority), the weight of the items and the destination country postal code. During checkout, international shipping costs will be calculated and paid by the customers upon order submittal. Unfortunately, we cannot offer free shipping on international orders at this time.

  • In Stock Products-Delivery Date

    For international orders, all in stock orders have a 1 day lead time, shipping out of the factory one day from the date of submitting the order. The arrival date of your shipment to your country depends on your chosen shipping method and delivery time to your country. Estimated ship dates referenced in your cart and order confirmation refer to the date the products are shipped out of Sierra, not when the shipment will arrive in your country.

  • Duties & Taxes

    At the point of purchase, the final price includes the price of the items and total shipping cost to your destination. The customer is responsible for paying all local taxes, duty, customs tariffs and VAT as determined by the destination country and upon arrival of the unit into the destination country. Sierra will prepare all the necessary shipping and customs documentation to make import as easy as possible.

  • Returns & Exchanges

    Sierra products are under factory warrantee for one year. Upon purchase, you can upgrade to the 2 or 3 year extended warranty. If the service or repair is under warranty, Sierra will pay for the return charges to ship the product to our European Sales and Service Center.

  • Cancelling or Changing an Order

    Because we offer next day delivery for in stock products, we are not able to cancel in stock orders once they are submitted. However, for custom configure products, once your application engineer has validated your order and your order acknowledgement email has been sent, you have 24 hours to change or cancel your order.

  • Expedites

    If you buy online from stock, you will get your instrument in under a week,so there is no need to submit a formal expedite request. If you need to expedite another product configuration, please contact us, and we will work with you to expedite your order.

  • Volume Discounts and/or OEM Pricing

    If you are ordering in volume, we do offer discounts. Please contact us or email sales@sierrainstruments.com to place your order and get discounted pricing.

  • Return Policy

    Sierra can accept, for exchange or return, only items which were purchased directly from Sierra within the last 30 days and are in new resalable condition. For returned products, we charge a 40% on list restocking fee.

  • Returning Your Product

    Please go to our returns page for instructions on how to send your product to Sierra for return, repair, or recalibration.

  • Repairs and Recalibration

    Sierra's Calibration and Repair Services Group maintains a full staff of trained and certified flow calibration technicians and a world-class flow metrology laboratory. All flow calibration systems achieve measurement uncertainties in the 0.2% of reading range.

    Check the Calibration Data Sheet provided with the instrument to see when the instrument is recommended for recalibration.

  • Checking Service Status

    To check the status of your service order, please go to our service status page and enter your Return for Materials Authorization (RMA) number.

  • Free Shipping Promotions

    Free shipping for all products and accessories shipped FedEx Ground to the United States only. Unfortunately, we are not offering our free shipping promotion for international orders.

  • Shipping Carrier and Methods

    Domestic shipping costs are calculated based on a number of factors, including the chosen service level (Ground, Two-Day, or Overnight), the weight of the items in your cart and the destination zip code. During Checkout, shipping costs will be calculated and paid upon order submittal.  

    We exclusively use FedEx for all shipping. When you are checking out, you can choose from three shipping methods:

    FedEx Standard Overnight- Next day delivery

    FedEx Two Day- 2 day delivery

    FedEx Ground- 5 to 7 day delivery

  • Checking Your Shipping Status

    Once your product has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your FedEx tracking number. At any point, you can check your shipping status by logging into your Sierra account.

  • Estimated Delivery Times

    In stock products are processed immediately, so depending on your shipping method, you will receive your product between 2 and 7 days of submitting your order.
    Custom configured products purchased online have varying lead times, from 3-5 weeks, depending on the product. After your order has been reviewed and processed, you will receive an order acknowledgement email with your scheduled ship date. If you need to expedite, we will work with you to implement 5-day or 10-day expediting.
