Partial Flow Sampling Explained

Sierra manufactures the well known Model BG-3 and continues to support the fleet of older Model BG-2’s with upgrades and service.  Aftertreatment and oil additive suppliers as well as automotive, non-road diesel, on-road light & heavy duty diesel, motorcycle, locomotive, airplane, and marine engine & vehicle manufacturers will develop and certify cleaner engines faster with the Model BG-3.  The BG-3 can collect particulate samples over steady state test cycles such as ISO8178 C1 or 8-mode. The Model BG-3 was designed specifically for transient test cycles described in ISO 16783, 40 CFR86, 40CFR1065 and in Directive 1999/96/EC, from the European Commission, among others.
