Sierra's multivariable product line features an in-line version, the InnovaMass® 240 vortex flow meter and a unique immersible version, the InnovaMass® 241. The 241 has emerged recently as the proven instrument of choice in geothermal steam applications across the globe. Both the 240 and 241 can measure the mass flow rate of any gas or liquid and are ideally suited for saturated or superheated steam. The InnovaMass 241 vortex flow meter is available in high-pressure versions capable of mass flow measurement of gases up to 5000 psig (345 psig).

Multivariable technology allows one instrument and one process connection to measure FIVE process parameters at the same time to simultaneously measure mass flow rate, temperature, pressure, volumetric flow rate, and fluid density.

The InnovaMass cryogenic version has undergone extensive testing and field validation over the last several years proving that the meter is preferred versus traditional turbine meters for measuring mass flow rates of cryogenic fluids down to -330°F (-200°C). Using a special cryogenic temperature RTD, mass calculations are done with the latest density equations of state for liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide. All models are fully field-programmable, configurable and feature RS-485.

Sierra's InnovaFlo® volumetric vortex products, the 240V and 241V, have the same advantages of the premium InnovaMass offering,but do not have the temperature and pressure measurement capability. Provides a direct reading of FIVE process parameters at the same time in process pipe sizes up to 72 inches. Low maintenance, easy installation, and great configuration flexibility. Product mass flow measurement accuracy is ± 1.5% of rate for liquids and 2.0% of rate for gases and steam over a 30:1 range. High pressure 5000 psig (345 barg) versions available.
