Multivariable Mass & Volumetric Vortex Flow Meters

Sierra was the first to introduce a Multivariable Mass Vortex Flow Meter to the market in the late 1990’s. Learn more about how this next generation of Mass Vortex Flow Meter technology came about. Sierra's Multivariable product line features an inline version, the Model 240 InnovaMass® vortex flowmeter and a unique immersion version, the Model 241 InnovaMass®. The Model 241 has emerged recently as the proven instrument of choice in geothermal steam applications across the globe. The Model 240 and Model 241 can measure the mass flow rate of any gas or liquid and are ideally suited for saturated or superheated steam. The Model 241 vortex flow meter is available in high-pressure versions capable of mass flow measurement of gases up to 5000 psig.

Our Multivariable Technology allows one instrument and one process connection to measure FIVE process parameters at the same time to simultaneously measure mass flow rate, temperature, pressure, volumetric flow rate, and fluid density.

The InnovaMass cryogenic version has undergone extensive testing and field validation over the last several years proving that the meter is preferred versus traditional turbine meters for measuring mass flow rates of cryogenic fluids down to -328°F (-200°C). Using a special cryogenic temperature RTD, mass calculations are done with the latest density equations of state for liquid Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and CO2. All models are fully field-programmable, configurable and feature RS485, MODBUS or HART protocols. Sierra's Innova-Flo volumetric vortex products, the Model 240V and Model 241V, have the same advantages of the premium InnovaMass offering, but do not have the temperature and pressure measurement capability.

	InnovaMass® Model 241 Immersible Multivariable Mass Vortex Flow Meter Provides a direct reading of FIVE process parameters at the same time in process pipe sizes up to 72 inches. Low maintenance, easy installation, and great configuration flexibility. Product mass flow measurement accuracy is ± 1.5% of rate for liquids and 2% of rate for gases and steam over a 30:1 range.

	Innova-Flo® Model 240V In-line Vortex Flow Meter Sierra's Model 240V Innova-Flo provides a direct reading of volumetric flow for liquids, steam or constant density gases. Product accuracy is ± 1% of rate for liquids and 0.7% of rate for gases and steam over a 30:1 range.
	Innova-Flo® Model 241V Immersible Vortex Flow Meter Model 241V Innova-Flo provides a direct reading of volumetric flow for liquids, steam or constant density gases. The unique insertion design may be used in process piping from 2-inches up to 72-inches. Product accuracy is ± 1.2% of rate for liquids and 1.5% of rate for gases and steam over a 30:1 range.
